Suzan Fant  is a former Michigan native, Mixed Media Collage artist and now long time resident of Seattle WA.  Her art has been shown in numerous Juried Group and Solo Exhibitions.  Some of the most recent are: The Kirkland Art Center Annual 2014 juried by Michael Monroe / BAM, The Columbia City Gallery Annual 2013 by Juan Alonzo, Kirkland Art Center Annual 2013  by Linda Hodges,  Arts West Group Show: Putting Things in Their Proper Place Fall 2013, The National Collage Society 29th Annual, NCS Signature Members Show @ Mesa Arts Ctr. Dec. 2012-March 2013, The Phinney Northwest FA Competition- Oct. 2012 and recently chosen for a 3-Person Show @ Phinney for May 2015.

She was also recently selected to be in the CVG Annual, Jan. 24th- Feb. 8, 2015 and in The 36th Annual Paper In Particular National Exhibition, Feb. 23- April 3, 2015 juried by Alida Fish.   

 

Suzan’s artwork has been featured in NWCS, SAA– Salem OR, Poncho, Just Art, Tacoma Art Museum, Sequim Museum & Arts Center, Cultural Landscape Foundation, the Coos Art Museum Juried Collage Show and other Show(s) and Auction(s) including OFF the GRID @ CCG 2014.

 

She is currently a member of the National Collage Society (Awarded: Signature Member status), the Northwest Collage Society (Board/Programs), Seattle Print Arts, Seattle Book Arts Guild, and The Saratoga Print and Paper Foundation.  She is one of the original members of her SPA Salon/Critique Group which has met monthly for more than a decade which will have a 9-person Group Show @ Museo Gallery in Langley, May 2015.  

 

Her arts education which began very early on at the Grand Rapids Museum of Art, then at Michigan State University Art/English, Lansing MI and The College for Creative Studies (formerly the Detroit School of Arts and Crafts) as a Fine Arts/Painting Major is ongoing. It includes Workshops and classes in Drawing, Encaustic, Printmaking and Collage @ Pratt, The Frye Art Museum, Sev Shoon Arts Center, and includes Collage Workshops with Ellen Ziegler and Deborah Faye Lawrence.  She has a Certificate in Printmaking from the University of Washington.
